Who can use Royal Gambit

Royal Gambit is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything that happens under it.

Acceptable Use Policy

The following are prohibited anywhere in the app, including in live voice chat (private invited games only) and in preset emoji reactions:

• Harassment and abuse. Insults, threats, intimidation, sexual harassment, stalking, or repeatedly contacting someone who doesn't want to interact with you.
• Hate speech. Attacks or slurs based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or any similar characteristic.
• Sexual or violent content. Sexually explicit talk, content involving minors, or graphic violence over voice chat or in names, avatars and club posts.
• Cheating. Using chess engines, external analysis tools, databases, another person's help, or any assistance during rated or online games; sandbagging, rating manipulation, or deliberately abandoning games.
• Multiple or shared accounts. Running several accounts to inflate ratings, evade a ban, or interfere with matchmaking.
• Impersonation. Pretending to be another player, a titled player, a Royal Gambit staff member, or misusing someone else's name, likeness or photo.
• Spam and solicitation. Advertising, scams, phishing, links to malware, or unsolicited promotion.
• Recording others. Recording, broadcasting or sharing another player's voice chat without their consent.
• Abuse of the service. Attempting to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the app, its database, or other users' data.

Voice chat

Voice chat is only available in private games created from an invite link or a shared join code — it is not offered in quick match games against random opponents, where players can instead send a small set of preset emoji reactions and nothing else. Voice chat is peer-to-peer and is never recorded or stored by us. You can mute your microphone at any time, and you can report or block your opponent from the game screen — blocking ends the voice call immediately. Because we don't store audio, reports of voice abuse are reviewed using the report you submit and the account's overall history, so please include details.

Reports, blocks and enforcement

Anyone can report a player for the reasons listed in the report dialog (abusive voice chat, harassment, cheating, offensive name or avatar, or something else). Reports are stored on our servers and reviewed by us. Depending on severity and history, we may:

• Issue a warning
• Reset a manipulated rating or remove affected games
• Restrict voice chat, clubs or online play
• Suspend or permanently ban the account

Blocking a player is immediate and personal to you: it ends the voice call and prevents further voice contact. Submitting knowingly false reports is itself a violation. If you believe an enforcement action was a mistake, contact junaidashrafqureshi@gmail.com.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post (display name, avatar, club posts). You grant us permission to host and display it inside the app so the features work. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Accounts and deletion

You can delete your account and data at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account, or by submitting a web deletion request. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

Service and liability

Royal Gambit is provided "as is", without warranties. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app.
